Topics Covered this Term:

We are 'Saving the World' this term. This means we are looking at God's World, including the Polar regions and linking it our school Value of Stewardship, how we can play our part in preserving our world. As part of science we will also look at animals including humans - their habitat in relation to these areas of the world.

Other Relevant Information:

Please remember homework goes home on a Thursday and is due in on the following Tuesday. Please listen to your child read as often as possible during the week. Reading is a very important life skill and needs to be practised as often as possible. Remember that reading does not just have to be their school reading book - they can read any book, newspaper or magazine or use a computer based reading program.

Week Beginning 13th July 2020 – Science Enrichment Week

For our last week of school this year we thought we would end with a whole family project week as the VE celebration week was so successful. This time we have chosen Science and have a range of fun science activities and experiments that you can do together as a family. The experiments are grouped into 4 categories; cooking ingredients, water, nature and indoor/outdoor fun. They have also been organised into ¬ star, ¬¬ star and ¬¬¬ star – due to the level of difficulty or the level of adult help needed. Some include using fire! We would love to see what you all get up to, so please take lots of photos and send them to your class teacher; to share on Facebook the fun learning taking place. We have even applied to Mrs B (the science guru who has created these) for medals to present to budding scientists out there. There are many activities to choose from and we do not expect you to complete all of them! You could continue to do some throughout the summer holidays if you want. Have a fun week and we look forward to seeing lots of great science.
