We are studying Geography this term with the focus of Europe.
English
This term, we are writing a range of texts based around Shakespeare's Macbeth, A lonely planets book, The Cities and a picture book, The Journey.
Books we are reading this term
Maths- Summer term. We will be studying Position and Movement, then revising for SATs and then doing theme based Maths projects.
This term in Science, we will be studying Animals including Humans and Evolution.
RE - We will be looking at the topic 'Is it better to express your religion in arts and architecture or in charity and generosity?' and 'What kind of King is Jesus?'
Homework
Children will be given spellings on Mondays. These will be tested in a written test on a Friday. It is recommended that spellings are practised for a short period daily. Children are expected to read at home for 20 minutes at least three times a week. This can be independently. Research shows, children that read at home, improve their vocabulary, concentration and make progress in their learning.
As the year progresses, more homework will be given out to help children prepare for Year 7.
Summer 1- Children will be set a homework from their Maths revision book weekly and one other reading or grammar homework.

PE is currently on a Thursday.
